Grub Smith is an accomplished TV presenter and poker journalist as well as being a keen poker player himself. A Cambridge graduate, he adopted the name Grub when at Downside School, effectively a promotion after being given the nickname Maggot by a master at his prep school!
His unique comedy styling and quick wit led to his media career. He has been a journalist for GQ, FHM and Poker Player, presented the TV series Travel Sick and Sin Cities, and has provided commentary for many poker shows, including the WSOPE, the Poker Ashes, Sky Poker, Poker Den and in 2010 has already provided commentary for the Full Tilt Poker Lounge and the Aussie Millions.
His self confessed lowest moment was commentating on a Celebrity Blackjack show that featured Timmy Mallett and Rusty Lee!
Matt Broughton is well-known within the British Poker community for his regular appearances on cult late night show, Poker Night Live, and as a presenter and analyst on Sky Poker. Matt has been a keen player himself for over a decade, but is more often found watching over the tables rather than sitting at them. He can be heard on terrestrial television commentating on Matchroom Poker productions alongside friend and broadcaster Jesse May, with who he also produced and presented the radio show: THE POKER SHOW. Matt was a regular contributor to many of the UK poker magazines, and was Editor of FLUSH Magazine. In 2007 his first book (co-authored with Dave Woods) "How to Play and Win at Poker" was published. Matt enjoyed a brief moment of 'fame' after creating musical send ups of well known UK players, including Simon Trumper, Lucy Rokach and - most famously - Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliot..
